We can provide ecological support whether you are looking to apply for planning permission, or to ensure that ongoing management and maintenance tasks are legal and appropriate. Most sites will have some ecological issues to consider, but we will always try and find solutions to these potential problems that can benefit biodiversity and your site. Often these can be relatively straight forward and low cost, but early engagement is vital.
We can undertake surveys for dormice, badgers, otters, common reptiles and water voles. We can recommend trusted consultants for surveys we are unable to carry out and where Natural England licences may need to be applied for. We can also undertake breeding bird checks and provide a watching brief or a precautionary method of working document for site development works
We can undertake ecological appraisals of sites and produce management and/or mitigation plans for a development or landholding. Our plans and reports are produced to be clear and concise so everyone can understand what needs to be done, rather than a weighty tome that will only be of interest to professional ecologists.
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) became mandatory for new planning applications in early 2024. We have a good understanding of the process and can explain how this may impact your project. We can undertake the surveys, assessments and calculations that are required as part of the planning process to quantify your BNG.
